Baylor’s Profile

Bio

Well In 1997 I got on the scale at work after a pregnant woman weighed in. I thought that will be safe right? WRONG! She was 193.. I was 200. I burst into tears. I had no idea how big I had gotten. I saw Dr Atkins on TV and thought.. HE IS NUTS! I'll prove him wrong. So I started with what I learned from his ad. .. Bacon and eggs for breakfast, Salad for lunch with chicken, Meat and a green veggie for dinner.

In two weeks, I had lost 14 lbs. That was it I went out and bought his book and did the program and lost 45 lbs in 2 months. I kept it off for 7 yrs. Got married, Had 2 bad pregnancies... When I had my last son, I was 267lbs. That was really really hard to take. I felt like there was no coming back. I was unhealthy, on BP meds, had a heart murmur, I was in bad shape. I knew what I had to do..
So After a failed month on WW where I lost and gained the weight right back, In June of 08 I started Atkins. Just did what I knew from before. I just ate Atkins foods but was not really tracking as much. I lost 40 lbs or so but I was at a stand still and feeling stuck. So in Nov of 2008, I came here. I realized that I had missed all the good changes to the plan. Once I started counting and tracking well I lost 9.5 lbs in 2 weeks. And I have been on plan the way it is written since then and have lost a total of 94 lbs.

Today:173lbs..
I really never thought I would see a 1 in the front of my number again..
Lipids 8/09:Total Cholesterol 178, HDL 58, LDL 110, TRYGLCERIDES 48

Please, I know that sometimes we fight structure, Think we know best but we don't. Take the time, Learn the program, You can do this. There is nothing special about any of us who are successful on Atkins. It is just putting in the time. As you go along it gets so much easier and you learn how to handle anything!!!

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Please feel free to email me if you have issue with something I write. Please keep it out of the forum so we can keep to the business of helping people get strong and healthy!
