Use our BMI calculator. Your body mass index (BMI) is a number calculated from your weight and height. It's a useful, indirect measure of body composition because it correlates with body fat in most people; a higher BMI usually means higher body fat. Our BMI calculator will walk you through calculating your current BMI, as well as help you set realistic weight loss goals, recommend the Atkins Phase you should start with and what you can expect to do to get started in that phase.

Writing down everything you eat, recording thoughts and feelings, and capturing your exercise each day is recommended by experts to help you lose more weight than just dieting alone. We've provided a private journal for your eyes alone that you can easily access in your profile. Jot down notes and thoughts as often as you feel like it. All of your entries will be saved so you can go back through them and begin to correlate moods and food intake to the ups and downs of your weight loss journey.
