Meeting doctor tomorrow for pre-op visit. Undergoing procedure requiring IV sedation, not general anesthesia. Does anyone know if those IV's contain just saline or is there sugar also? Induction Day 6 and not interested in introducing sugar unnecessarily. At least not without "tasting" it! haha
I know for me, I got saline.. I have never had anything where I had to have dextrose in my IV.
but when I went in for my sections, they just start a saline drip so that they can keep you hydrated and be able to give you meds and such..
Thanks. That's what I assumed, but I began worrying about it today.
