Fresh or frozen is fine. If using frozen check to ensure nothing offensive is added.
All veggies fresh or frozen contain naturally occuring sugar.
FRESH
I would measure out portions. A whole bag may be too much! How many grams or ounces are in the bag?
Frozen is sometimes more nutrtious than fresh as it is often frozen very shortly after being harvested.
I would avoid canned except for canned tomatoes.
dont eat canned and a bag is 16 ounces it says 4 cups thanks for the info do fresh wveggies loose vitamins due to sitting around???? thaks pizza
Yes they do!! Another reason to try to eat local although not always possible.
Generally a serving is half cup to a cup cooked.
There are certain veggies I prefer frozen and others that I prefer fresh. I guess it all depends on your taste. Frozen is equally nutritious as fresh if not more so.
I eat mostly frozen unless they are in season...
It is cheaper and keeps better.
The Debbie Meyers green bags are a huge asset for storing fresh veg. The knock offs are cheaper but not the same. I haven't had to throw any fresh produce out since I began using them.
