Don't be scared Jenn!
Just add 5nc of induction veggies...stick with that until you feel ready to move on....I was scared too!
Jacq- Ok I will do it. I am planning on starting next week. My mom will be back from her trip and we can move up together. Thanks!
Jacq, I really am excited. I enjoy the way I eat and love feeling back in shape. I feel like a new person.
I could not have gotten this far without all of you. Thank you!!
Wow!
Reading all of your posts excites me about this new way of looking at food.
I have a ways to go but I know I'll get there...
baby steps...
Yes, that does Baylor.
I guess I am just stuck on knowing when I should add the 5 net carbs.
I am trying really hard to learn about each new food and its taken me through some bumps in OWL, but I also know that I had issues getting in enough calories and I do find when I eat more calories/fat, I then lose better.
I think I just hung on to the comfort zone of the 25 net carbs and haven't given that number much thought until now.
How often did you bump up your net carbs?
Or did you do it slowly and only when you thought you needed to change up things and break a stall?
Not often at all. figure this, I was at 25 nc last dec. I am just at 50 nc now in November.. It was slow. I did not move fast.. but when I moved I stayed there..
In the beginning I had the worst time moving and losing so I starting adding by 2 nc. I just felt better but I was also moving up. I was determined to make it the right way this time!
Don't worry. I know it seems scary but really. It is not..It works..
Yes it does work.
I think I am OVERTHINKING it.....since I (like you) did this once before but there weren't any rungs to follow when I did it.
This is a better structure and I like the learning.
I, too, just want to make it right this time and want to be successful at it.
You will be. It just takes time. There is a lot of fear in being over weight and trying to lose it. We focus so much on t hat scale that we will sometimes sabotage ourselves by not continuing on. We expect failure.
You have to be able to have faith in the fact that you are doing it all right and that you are going in the right direction.. No matter what the scale says..
Ok Baylor...
Saturdays is when I do my weekly weigh in...so after that in the A.M. I will begin with maintain my calories for 1900-2100 and my net carbs will go up to 30.
I do like nuts, but dont eat them a lot or all the time. So far I have had almonds, pistachios and walnuts. I think I may try one more, and then move on to Legumes....
Hmmm, I was sweating moving into PM too, haven't gained or lost anything but I'm at 40 per day, after seeing your post maybe I'll take the plunge to 45 or so. Have some nice garden growed acorn squash ratholed away and they would be just what doctor Baylor ordered me thinks. Great job Baylor you are quite the inspiration to us all !
